Before starting acupuncture, I had gone through one round of IVF and miscarried. Acupuncture and herbs helped me through all the stages of my process – getting pregnant, keeping me and the baby healthy all the way through my pregnancy and up through labour.

Once I had an acupuncture session, I felt good; relaxed. I’m glad that I’ve used acupuncture instead of going through IVF again. Acupuncture is soothing, and you don’t feel like your hormones are up and down. It’s a much more relaxing way to go. I’d definitely do it again!

I began seeing acupuncturist Lisa Houghton six weeks before the due date of my second pregnancy.  My first pregnancy had resulted in an emergency caesarian, something I was anxious to avoid if possible. .Lisa is a careful and sensitive acupuncturist, with a considered and thorough approach.  I enjoyed each session with her immensely.   Due in no small part to Lisa, I was able to avoid an elective caesarian and give birth naturally, without pain relief.
